The “Word Of God” Is Living

What if you were asked, “How do you know that the Bible is true?”

2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” But, how do you know this? The book of Genesis, the beginning and the book of Revelation, the ending are united in a way that only God could have done it. Fifteen hundred years passed from the writing of the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation, and nearly four hundred years lapsed between the Old Testament book of Malachi to the New Testament book of Matthew. These are called the “silent years,” where God did not speak to the prophets. There are forty different people with nineteen different occupations, ranging from a king to a tent maker, who wrote the Bible. They spoke different languages, lived in different countries, lived at different times, with different backgrounds and wrote in different styles. 2 Peter 1:20,21 says that, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” V21) “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”  The Bible is full of wisdom and knowledge, with answers to all questions. Why? because it is alive. Hebrews 4:12a says, “For the “word of God” is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” There have been many attempts to destroy the Bible, but have failed. Sales of the Bible in one year total more than any other book written. Is there any reason to doubt whether the Bible is true are not?
