We celebrate “Resurrection Sunday” as the day Christ rose from the dead. Jesus told Martha in St. John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” v26) “And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this” Jesus came into the world to give us life through his death and resurrection. When He triumphed over death and rose again, it became possible for all mankind to believe in Him and inherit eternal life. His resurrection gives us the assurance that we will not be defeated by death. By believing in Jesus and His resurrection, we become new creatures with new lives in Him. We are free from the curse of sin and death. Even though, we will die physically, spiritually we will rise again with new bodies that are incorruptible and perfect. Jesus said in St. John 14:19, “Because I live, you shall live also.” We serve a living God. Anyone who believes in the LORD Jesus Christ, and accepts Him as their own personal LORD and Savior can have this eternal life.
