Lead Us to a Place of Peace

This winter has been a very cold winter. People all over the nation are experiencing a change in the weather. This lets us know that God is still in control.

But thanks be to God, we have someone watching over us. The 23rd Psalm tells us that we have a “Shepherd.” And in John 12:11): Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”

If Jesus was not our “Shepherd,” do you know what your life would be like? There would be no one kind and loving to lead us to a place of peace and rest when we are stressed out. When we feel overwhelmed, or worn out, or beaten down by life, the “Good Shepherd” brings much needed restoration. If we hold onto His hand, we can “walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil,” because the “Good Shepherd” is with us, to lead us, to guide us, and to protect us. And Jesus demonstrated his shepherding abilities by laying down his life for us. So, no matter what  “the weather” one day we shall dwell in the house of the lord forever. Amen!
