HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

The Fourth of July / Independence Day is the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This day was designated as a national holiday to commemorate the day thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event, which eventually led to the formation of the United States, and laid down their claim to be a free and independent nation.

Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans put up American flags to celebrate this historic event as a reminder of what it means to be an American.

Freedom is not easy. and it isn’t free. It comes with a price. Many men and women have shed blood and died to make this nation a “Free Nation.” But One greater paid a price by shedding his blood, and dying a horrible death on a cross so that all could be free. His name is Jesus. A sacrifice was made so that we can be free from sin and death. Our total freedom comes from God. John 8:36 says that, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ”

As we celebrate the 4th of July, let us remember to celebrate Jesus Christ each and every day, and to thank him for our freedom.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!
