Seedtime and Harvest

Spring is in the air. “seedtime and harvest.” Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, and summer and winter, day and night shall never cease.”
There are some seeds we sow and plant that must be cultivated and watered. Then there are seeds that are to be sown and planted into the ground of forgetfulness. the seeds that are cultivated and watered are the seeds of love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness (kindness), and temperance (self control). (Galations 5:22 “The fruit of the Spirit”) These seeds bring forth good fruit, and are pleasing to God. But the seeds that are planted in the ground of forgetfulness are the seeds of unforgiveness, deceitfulness, jealously, eveny, bitterness, strife and hatefulness. these seeds are never to be cultivated and watered. they are not of GodWhen we constantly speak on these seeds, we are digging them up and sowing and replanting them over and over again. the fruit that they produce are not pleasing to God.
This spring let us begin to sow and plant seeds that will produce a good harvest. One that is pleasing to God and a good harvest that is to be reaped.
