The journey of life is full of ups and downs, trials, tribulations and afflictions. We often wish we could escape troubles, the pain of grief, loss, sorrows, failures, and even the small frustrations that we face daily. But God promises to give us peace, strength, courage and wisdom to get us through. James 1:2 tells us to, “Count it all joy whenyou fall into divers temptations;” He doesn’t say if, He says when. So, we know that we must go through these things. But Psalm 34:19 tells us that, “Many are the affictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivered him out of them all.” Some times God has to allow us to go through things to develop us into vessels He can use. Just as sand irritates an oyster to produce a pearl, God puts us into situations to irritate us, to strengthen us, to mold us and build us up to be His “pearl.”

We must stand strong in every situation, and trust in God for the outcome and the break-through.
